Septembers edition of Geoconnexion International Magazine features an article on how Blom's FCIR (false colour infrared) imagery is helping the Environment Agency monitor habitats and vegetation along the south west coastline.

Blom raising money for Cancer Research
On September 5th 12 runners from Blom UK will be taking part in the 2010 Bristol Half Marathon. By taking part in this event we hope to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Any money you are able to donate would be gratefully received and help us to meet, and hopefully better, our target of £1,000.

Blom receives Best Practices Award
Blom and Northrop Grumman celebrate winning the LCDR Peter Johnson Best Practices Award.
It was presented on Wednesday 26th May 2010 in Mobile Alabama, at the USA's Joint Airborne LiDAR Bathymetry Technical Center of Expertise (JALBTCX) 11th Annual Airborne Coastal Mapping and Charting Workshop.

Charting new waters for coastal mapping
A collaboration signed between Blom, the leading European specialist within aerial surveying and LiDAR (laser scanning) and Gardline Geosurvey Limited, the UK marine vessel-based survey contractor, brings together a new shore to ocean seabed mapping capability for marine and coastal surveys.
This agreement between the two will enable a more comprehensive, efficient and flexible service in these and other developing industry sectors.

Blom wins sub-contract for US Naval Facilities
Blom have been appointed by Northrop Grumman on a 5-year sub-contract to carry out aerial survey and ground control for NAVFAC under Northrop Grumman's Framework Agreement.
Blom will be tasked with delivering aerial photography captured during 'leaf-off' and will be used for digital mapping. Capture areas incorporate the NAVFAC region of Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
This is the 3rd such sub-contract issued by Northrop Grumman to Blom and further enhances the strong business relationship built between the two companies.
